Job Title: Installation Helper

Job Summary
As an Installation Helper, you will support the installation of a wide range of automotive shop equipment, including automotive lifts, air compressors, exhaust removal systems, air piping, wheel service equipment, lubrication systems, and more. Additional responsibilities include assisting with automotive lift deactivations and removals, as well as occasional concrete work.

Knowledge & Training
Candidates will acquire specialized knowledge of MTD-installed equipment through hands-on, on-the-job training. Applicants are expected to bring foundational skills and general abilities as outlined below.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Complete assigned daily tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Maintain a clean and organized shop service area.

• Ensure customer worksites are left tidy and professional.

• Handle provided tools and equipment responsibly and with care.

• Supply your own basic hand tools.

• Accurately log hours worked via a company-provided cell phone using a mandatory GPS-enabled time-tracking app.

• Promptly report potential customer issues or complaints to managers.

• Complete all paperwork legibly, thoroughly, and on time.

• Foster positive relationships with coworkers and management.

• Tow trailers (flatbed, dump, box, and other towable equipment) as needed.

General Skills
Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in the safe and skilled use of:

• Hand tools (e.g., mechanic, carpentry, painting tools).

• Power tools (e.g., battery-operated, electric, pneumatic).

• Measuring and testing instruments (e.g., tape measure, level, multi-meter).

• Ladders and scaffolding (e.g., step, extension, rolling).

• Small engine equipment (e.g., concrete saw, air compressor).
